New CBD Chocolate Company to Launch Soon With a Line of CBD Wellness and Pet Products In Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn

Lily Chocolate Confections is finally closing its doors after 12 successful years in the business. Owners Josh and Amanda Montague decided to do something new this year and said that a new company called Buoyant Brands scooped them up and hence, they’ll be closing down.

Brian Samuels, Senior Vice President of Research and Development of Buoyant Brands, talked about the collaboration with the duo and said that they’re highly creative people. The brand would love for the couple to come onboard and make varieties of delicacies with new flavors beyond the simple dark chocolate and milk.

Samuels said they are seeking out innovative flavors that are more than just ordinary. Rather than offering sweet chocolate treats like peppermint mocha bark, the new company will provide a gamut of other products with exciting flavors, including chocolate infused with cannabidiol.

Samuels said that while hemp is a cannabis plant, it is not the same as marijuana. Hemp contains high levels of cannabidiol, a non-psychoactive compound, which means it does not produce hallucinations or cause the “high” that users otherwise experience while smoking hemp.

Cannabidiol, or popularly known as CBD, is a widely touted compound for its medicinal benefits. Many people use CBD to treat their anxiety, insomnia, depression, stress, muscle pain, chronic pain, spasms, inflammation and what not. The market is already booming with CBD products ranging from pet products to gummies, cocktails, drinks, isolate, topicals, creams, ointments, vape pens, and much more.

In fact, CBD has become a regular part of many people’s daily regime. While some people rely on CBD to improve their sleep quality, others use it to boost their overall wellness. Consumers have an array of options when it comes to hemp-derived CBD products as they are easily available on both online websites as well as brick and mortar stores.

The first product on the line to launch is a premium hemp dog chew. Clinical trials have shown that CBD is a potent substance that can significantly impact the overall health of humans as well as pets. While there’s more research that needs to be done to completely approve CBD as a safe product, consumers have already shown their trust in the products.

Samuels said that they are seeing a lot of benefits of CBD in older dogs who suffer from seizures, or arthritis and it is also changing their feelings and impacting their sense of well-being.

So even though Lily’s doors have closed as a chocolate shop, it is now being used as the research and development headquarters for Samuels’s new brand. It will soon reopen with a dog treat and wellness line of CBD infused chocolates.
